Upon arrival in Kunming, affectionately known as the “Spring City” of China for its year-round mild climate and blooming flowers, we’ll pick you up at airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. After a short rest, begin your journey with a relaxing stroll through Green Lake Park, a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. Depending on the season, the lake transforms into a vibrant canvas—emerald lotus leaves in summer, dancing seagulls in winter, and blooming camellias in spring—offering a peaceful introduction to Yunnan’s natural charm.
As evening falls, head to Nanqiang Pedestrian Street, where the aromas of sizzling street food fill the air. Taste authentic Yunnan snacks such as grilled tofu, rice noodles and flower cakes while soaking up the lively local atmosphere. The neon lights, bustling crowds and traditional architecture blend harmoniously, allowing you to feel the vibrant pulse of Kunming on your very first night.
Day 2: Kunming-Dali (HSR)

After breakfast, venture to the breathtaking Stone Forest, a UNESCO-listed geological masterpiece shaped by millions of years of tectonic movement and erosion. As you wander along winding paths, you’ll discover hidden viewpoints perfect for photography and gain insight into the local Yi minority legends that bring these formations to life.
In the afternoon, return to Kunming and board the high-speed train to Dali, enjoying comfortable views of Yunnan’s countryside along the way. Upon arrival, explore Dali Old Town, once a vital gateway on the Southern Silk Road. The cobblestone streets, traditional Bai-style houses and the majestic Cangshan Mountains in the distance create an atmosphere steeped in history and romance. As lanterns glow at dusk, the town reveals its timeless elegance.
Day 3: Dali

Begin your day at the iconic Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple, standing proudly against the backdrop of Cangshan Mountain. These thousand-year-old pagodas are masterpieces of ancient architecture and enduring symbols of Dali’s rich Buddhist heritage. Walking through the temple grounds, you’ll feel the harmony between history, spirituality and nature.
Later, travel to Shuanglang Ancient Town, nestled along the sparkling shores of Erhai Lake. Known as the most picturesque village between Cangshan and Erhai, it offers poetic lakeside scenery and tranquil charm.
Conclude the day at Dali Ideal State, often called “China’s Santorini” for its whitewashed buildings and romantic Mediterranean-inspired design. Sip afternoon tea while gazing over the shimmering lake—an idyllic and dreamy ending to your day.
Day 4: Dali-Lijiang

Continue to the Flower Sea Photography Base for a delightful flower sea photography experience, where vibrant blossoms stretch as far as the eye can see. Dressed in colorful Bai minority costumes, you’ll capture unforgettable moments surrounded by fragrance and beauty.
Next, explore Xizhou Ancient Town, a living museum of Bai culture. Elegant courtyards, intricate wood carvings and marble decorations reflect the artistic sophistication of the Bai people. Strolling through its quiet alleys feels like stepping into a preserved chapter of history.
Later, visit Zhoucheng Village, famed for its traditional tie-dye craftsmanship. The indigo-dyed fabrics hang gracefully in Bai people's courtyards, showcasing techniques passed down through generations. After immersing yourself in this vibrant heritage, transfer to Lijiang and check in at your hotel within the atmospheric ancient town.
Day 5: Lijiang

Today’s highlight is the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, whose snow-capped peaks pierce the sky at over 5,000 meters. Ride the Glacier Park Cableway up into a world of crisp alpine air and panoramic views. Standing above the clouds, you’ll witness a breathtaking landscape of glaciers and rugged summits that inspire awe and wonder.
Descend to the enchanting Blue Moon Valley, where mineral-rich waters shimmer in brilliant turquoise hues. The crescent-shaped valley mirrors the mountain above, creating postcard-perfect scenery. Later, enjoy the grand outdoor performance Impression Lijiang, staged against the dramatic snow mountain backdrop.
In the afternoon, wander through Baisha Ancient Town, the birthplace of Naxi culture. Visit the renowned Baisha Murals, whose unique blend of Tibetan, Han, and Naxi artistic influences reflects Lijiang’s multicultural history. Narrow lanes and ancient houses invite you to slow down and absorb the timeless atmosphere.
Day 6: Lijiang - Shangri-La

After breakfast, journey north toward the legendary land of Shangri-La. Pause at the dramatic First Bend of the Yangtze River, where the mighty river makes a spectacular 180-degree turn, carving its path through majestic mountains.
Continue to the awe-inspiring Tiger Leaping Gorge, one of the deepest gorges in the world. Standing beside the roaring Jinsha River, you’ll feel the raw power of nature as torrents surge between towering cliffs. The legend of a tiger leaping across the river adds a sense of myth to the dramatic scenery.
Upon arrival in Shangri-La, visit the magnificent Songzanlin Monastery, the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan. Built on a hillside and resembling a golden palace, it is often called the “Little Potala Palace”. The prayer flags flutter in the wind, and the scent of incense fills the air, immersing you in Tibetan spirituality.
Day 7: Shangri-La - Lijiang - Kunming (HSR)

Start your morning in Dukezong Ancient Town, one of the oldest Tibetan towns in the region and known as the "Moonlight Town". Then explore Pudacuo National Park, a paradise of alpine lakes, forests and meadows. The crystal-clear waters mirror the sky, while yaks graze peacefully across the grasslands. The pristine environment and fresh plateau air offer a refreshing finale to your Shangri-La adventure.
Afterward, return to Lijiang and board the high-speed train back to Kunming for your final evening in the Spring City.
