Vast and monumental, the square has witnessed some of the most significant moments in the nation’s history. Standing here, you can admire the imposing Tian’anmen Gate—an image recognized around the world.
From the square, walk directly into the legendary Forbidden City, the immense imperial palace complex that once served as the residence of 24 emperors during the Ming and Qing dynasties. For nearly 500 years, this walled city remained inaccessible to ordinary citizens, guarding the secrets of imperial rule behind towering vermilion walls and golden rooftops.
Entering through the majestic Meridian Gate, you will follow the central axis through magnificent courtyards and grand ceremonial halls. With over 8,700 rooms, the Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved collection of ancient palace architecture in China. A short walk leads you to Jingshan Park, where a climb to the hilltop pavilion rewards you with one of Beijing's most breathtaking panoramic views. Below you stretches a sea of golden palace rooftops, perfectly aligned along the ancient city's central axis, with the modern skyline rising in the distance.
Later, continue to the serene Temple of Heaven, one of China's most sacred imperial sites. Here, Ming and Qing emperors performed solemn ceremonies to pray for good harvests and harmony between Heaven and Earth. The temple complex is renowned for its precise symbolism and extraordinary architecture, including the iconic Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. Today, the surrounding park is alive with local residents practicing tai chi, singing, dancing, and playing traditional instruments—offering a charming glimpse into the everyday life of Beijing’s citizens.

Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang Province, is famous for its long winters and spectacular ice sculptures, earning it the nickname "Ice City". Each winter, the city hosts the world-famous Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival, transforming the landscape into a glittering kingdom of ice palaces and luminous sculptures.
Flowing through the city is the Songhua River, affectionately known as Harbin's "mother river". During winter, its frozen surface becomes a lively playground where locals and visitors gather to skate, fish through the ice, ride snowmobiles, and enjoy the magic of the northern winter. The enormous ice blocks used to construct the festival’s sculptures are cut directly from this frozen river.
Harbin's charm lies not only in its winter spectacle but also in its fascinating cultural heritage. Influenced by Russian and European settlers in the early 20th century, the city boasts elegant European architecture and a vibrant cultural fusion that has earned it the nicknames "Moscow of the East" and "Little Paris of the East". From its cuisine to its architecture, Harbin offers a uniquely cosmopolitan atmosphere rarely found elsewhere in China.

Unlike traditional zoos, visitors explore the park aboard specially designed cage vehicles, allowing you to observe these powerful predators roaming freely through vast natural habitats. Watching a tiger stride confidently across the snow or suddenly sprint across the landscape is both thrilling and unforgettable. For an extra dose of excitement, visitors may even choose to feed the tigers themselves (optional and at personal expense).
Next, step into a snowy wonderland at Sun Island, home to the International Snow Sculpture Art Expo. Here, artists from around the globe transform giant blocks of snow into monumental masterpieces—towering castles, mythical creatures, sweeping landscapes, and imaginative scenes that seem almost alive with expression.
