Depart Lijiang at 8:30 AM and drive to Haba Village, arriving around 11:30 AM. Enjoy lunch at your leisure. After lunch, transfer to Dela Ranch, the starting point of the trek. Begin hiking upward along winding forest meadows, taking in the magical scenery of the misty forest. Cross the hillside, weave through primeval forests, and pass Yangfang Pasture before reaching this day's final destination: Lanhua Ping Camp. Situated on a pristine alpine meadow facing Haba Snow Mountain, the camp offers a serene and cozy retreat under the snow peaks. Enjoy a hot pot dinner at the camp restaurant, then relax on your own or gaze at the brilliant starry sky over the snow mountains.

Wake up to the magnificent morning view of Haba Snow Mountain at the camp. After breakfast, depart from Lanhua Ping Camp at 8:00 AM sharp. Trek through ancient primeval alpine fir forests, pass through Rhododendron Valley and Snow Mountain Wetlands, and continue onward to reach the hidden gem beneath the snow peaks — Black Sea Lake (Heihai). As the majestic snow mountains unfold before your eyes, take a moment to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and capture stunning photos. The rowan trees (mountain ash) by Black Sea Lake turn red in October, creating a spectacular landscape where golden and crimson forests intertwine. Afterwards, retrace your steps back to Lanhua Ping Camp for a short break. Pack up and begin your descent back to the trekking starting point. Then drive back to Lijiang, where the tour concludes. Under normal road conditions, you will arrive in Lijiang around 7:00 PM.

Travel Gear

  • Clothing: Wear quick-drying clothing during the day, along with a softshell or hardshell jacket. As temperatures can vary significantly between day and night, please bring a down jacket or thick fleece for added warmth.
  • Footwear & Socks: Low-cut or mid-cut hiking shoes and moisture-wicking sports socks are recommended. (Please do not wear casual sneakers or brand-new hiking shoes that have not been broken in.)
  • Bags: A 20L daypack is essential for carrying your belongings during the hike. We recommend bringing a hiking backpack of around 40L to carry your personal luggage.
  • Food: Please prepare your own packed food or trail snacks to replenish your energy during the hike.
  • Equipment: Please bring your personal charger, outdoor rain gear, and other necessary equipment.
  • Documents: Please bring your ID card or any relevant documentation for admission-fee exemptions.
  • Other Essentials: UV radiation can be strong when hiking at high altitude. Please bring sunscreen, lip balm, and sunglasses for protection.
