After breakfast, take a bus to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which is China’s first national forest park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and a global geopark. After breakfast, take a boat ride on Tuojiang River (no refunds if boat ride is impossible due to official reasons). Tuojiang is the mother river of Fenghuang Ancient Town, gently flowing along the city wall and nurturing generations of the town's residents. Board a wooden boat, listen to the boatman’s call, and see the century-old Tujia stilt houses on both banks—there's a unique charm. Drift downriver beneath Hongqiao, revealing a picturesque scene of southern water townships: Wanshou Palace, Wanmings Tower, Duocui Building... a feeling of being far removed from the world envelops you. The southern bank of Tuojiang hosts the ancient city wall, built of purple-red sandstone, elegant yet majestic; it features two city towers that, despite the passage of time, remain magnificent.
