As the chilled breeze of Yunnan softly fell in the winter of 2025, Mr. Soko and Mrs. Dewi, along with their 4 friends, set off from Indonesia and reached Yunnan, China, on 26 November 2025, for their scheduled 6 Days Private Yunnan Golf Tour.

However, besides the one-of-a-kind world-class golf experience, Mr. Soko and his pals are also interested in Yunnan's unique landscape and ethnic culture. They wanted to explore the natural wonder Stone Forest in Kunming and the majestic Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang, and they also hoped to take a stroll at the especially beautiful & romantic Lijiang Old Town, Baisha Old Town, as well as the Yuhu Village in Lijiang, a thousand-year-old ancient village of Naxi people that is entirely built with raw stones at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. 

For that reason, they made some changes to the given itinerary and picked those attractions they most expected, finally creating this 6 Days Private Yunnan Golf Tour as their favorite custom Yunnan golf vacation. Day 1: Land in Kunming at a Cooling Sunset

Before their arrival in Kunming, our colleague and specially designated tour guide had awaited for them at Kunming Changshui International Airport. That day was a perfectly sunny day with chilled night breeze! And as expected, their plane arrived in Kunming on time, at around 20:00. After greeting them on their arrival, we all took a photo just in front of the iconic large dinosaur fossil in the airport as a keepsake, and then, our guide led them to get on their 17-seat Coaster for some food and hotel check-in at the first stop of their private Yunnan golf tour, the Spring City Golf & Lake Resort.

Day 2: Spring City Golf & Lake Resort, Stone Forest

On 27 November 2025, the second day of their tour, they got up at the Spring City Golf & Lake Resort, had a breakfast that features Yunnan's local specialty food, and then, they moved to the golf course by the beautiful Yangzonghai Lake.

They played 1 round golf at the golf resort. The Spring City Golf & Lake Resort is a world-class integrated holiday resort in Kunming comprising luxury villas and two 18-hole championship mountain and lake golf courses -- the Mountain Course designed by Jack Nicklaus and the Lake Course by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Surrounded by mountains and beside the limpid Yangzonghai Lake, the golf resort is one of the most beautiful golf holiday resorts in the world, hence the name "the golf paradise in Asia".

After enjoying golf at the luxury golf resort in the morning and having a lunch, Mr. Soko and his party got on their vehicle and started an afternoon trip to the Stone Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring dramatic karst limestone formations.

Day 3: Kunming Lakeview Golf Club, Lijiang Old Town

As the featured part of this private Yunnan golf tour, they still started the 3rd day with playing golf. But this day, they headed to the Kunming Lakeview Golf Club to experience another fabulous lake-side golf. Voted repeatedly among "Asia's Top 10 Golf Courses" and "Top 10 Golf Clubs in China", the par-72 championship Lakeview Golf Club rests just by the Dianchi Lake and stretches across 7,260 yards of rolling hills, shimmering lakes and pine-fringed fairways, offering both visual splendor and strategic challenge.

After enjoying golf at the beautiful Lakeview Golf Club, Mr. Soko et al had a lunch and then set off to Lijiang by high-speed train. 

We booked a quaint, picturesque 4-star inn in Lijiang Old town, DuoFu Resort Hotel, for Mr. Soko and his friends, which is a very beautiful traditional Chinese style inn designed in quadrangle courtyard with two storeys and which is nicely adorned with exquisite oil-paper umbrellas hanging from the top.

After hotel check-in, our guide led them for a leisure walk in the Lijiang Old Town to explore this charming World Cultural Heritage Site renowned for its well-preserved Naxi culture and its unique landscape of traditional Chinese town rendered with strings of narrow cobbled streets, delicate traditional courtyards, and interlaced gentle rivers that are passing through each peaceful alley and by each beautiful house.

Day 4: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Glacier Park, Blue Moon Valley, Impression Lijiang Show, Baisha Mural, Baisha Old Town.

After a nice dream on the beautiful & romantic old town, Mr. Soko and this friends woke up in the DuoFu Resort Hotel. After a breakfast of Lijiang's local food, our guide picked them up in the crisp & refreshing morning breeze that was softly blended with a unique fragrance, and then drove them to the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain to witness the awe-inspiring landscape there.

The 4th Day of their private Yunnan golf tour is not about golf, but about the most stunning natural landscape and amazing cultural heritage of Lijiang, this China's most romantic and fascinating place!

Mr. Soko et al explored the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, including the breathtaking Glacier Park (at an altitude of 5,396 meters) at the majestic snow peaks and the impossibly beautiful Blue Moon Valley at the foot of the snow mountain, the water of which comes from the glacier at the top of the snow mountain and gathers at the valley to form a few dreamily beautiful blue gem-like pools. They reached the the Glacier Park by taking the 2900m-long cableway. The thrilling cableway ride on the way to the Glacier Park provides stunning panoramic views of Lijiang's landscape.

After they came down from Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, they watched the Impression Lijiang Show in the outdoor theater just in front of the Snow Mountain. The ethnic show is one of the most popular cultural performances in Yunnan Province, set against the stunning backdrop of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Directed by renowned filmmaker Zhang Yimou, this outdoor theater performance blends ethnic music, dance and stunning natural landscapes together to tell the stories of diverse cultures and traditions of Naxi, Yi, Tibetan, and other ethnic groups in the Lijiang region.

In the afternoon, Mr. Soko and his friends followed our guide's steps to visit the Baisha Old Town, which is one of the oldest towns in Lijiang and was once a center of silk embroidery in southwestern China and an important place on the Ancient Tea-Horse Road. Over there, one of the most valuable treasures of Chinese painting Baisha Murals, of a history of about 600 years, is kept and displayed in the old but splendid temples.

Day 5: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club, Yuhu Village

When the clock ticked to the 5th day of the private Yunnan golf tour, another highlight and the most important part of the trip came as expected, which was the golf experience in the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf Club.

After enjoying 1 round golf at the golf club, our guide led them to do some light hiking in the Yuhu Village at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The thousand-year-old ancient village of Naxi people is entirely built with raw stones at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. It is a serene, secluded and very special village where the explorer and botanist Joseph Charles Francis Rock had lived for 27 years from 1922.

Day 6: A Temporary Goodbye at Lijiang

After a short rest the night before, on the 6th Day of the memorable private Yunnan golf tour, Mr. Soko and his friends got up in the beautiful DuoFu Resort Hotel and had some breakfast. After a preparation, our guide and driver drove them to the Lijiang Sanyi International Airport and said goodbye to them.

At around 12:00, they took off and flew back to Indonesia . . .
